Experience Contemporary Art in New York
Join us for a journey through New York’s fascinating art scene during this six-week series where we’ll explore the best current exhibitions at New York's finest contemporary galleries and alternative spaces. Through this course students gain an understanding of both contemporary art history and the newest developments in art. The series of lectures and tours throughout the city will help to identify the key personalities and influential spaces that contribute to the rich, varied dialogue of contemporary art.

Faculty
Andrew Cappetta, a PhD Candidate at The Graduate Center, The City University of New York, is a specialist in European and American art of the postwar and contemporary periods. He has taught contemporary art at Parsons The New School for Design, the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Museum of Modern Art. Cappetta has also worked as an independent curator and written for The Brooklyn Rail.
