Patrick studied contemporary art markets at the University of Michigan before moving to Beijing to refine his language skills and establish trade relationships with Chinese museum curators, private collectors and commercial galleries.
Patrick, a specialist in Asian and Contemporary Art, has experience as a fine art appraiser, auction specialist, gallerist, broker, collection adviser and art business consultant. He has worked on the development of art fairs, online art marketplaces, and various publishing projects. Patrick has participated in numerous art panels and presently lectures at New York University’s School of Professional Studies Art Business program on Chinese art, the art market and aspects of valuation. Since 2007, he has maintained a private art advisory business. He is USPAP compliant and is regular contracted by the firms of Gurr Johns International, Winston Art Group, and Pall Mall Art Advisors.
