Tom McNulty is an independent art researcher whose subjects include provenance and valuation of fine and decorative arts and collectible objects. As an appraiser he specializes in nineteenth and twentieth century paintings, drawings, sculpture, and prints for major estates, foundations, insurance companies, and legal firms. He is the author of Art Market Research: A Guide to Methods and Sources [2nd ed., 2014), in addition to numerous articles on research, art documentation, and information access.
