Megan Lucas-Chong is an educator, researcher and curriculum designer. She has over a decade of experience as a museum educator within modern and contemporary art museums in New York City, including the Guggenheim Museum, the Whitney Museum and MoMA. Megan is a doctoral student in the Art and Art Education program at Teachers College, Columbia University. She is currently researching early childhood programs in art museums and is particularly interested in learning how object-based museums engage young visitors with their collections. Megan is also an editorial review panelist for the Journal of Museum Education.
Previously, at the Cathedral of Saint John the Divine, Megan developed a sensory-friendly access program for visitors to experience the building. She has collaborated with a university, art museums and non-profits while living in Southeast Asia.
