The course covers topics and debates on issues including using art in traditional wealth management, art investment funds, using art as collateral for loans and art as an alternative investment. It will also cover how the rapidly developing market of tokenisation and fractionalization of art is impacting the art market aided by technological innovations in the industry.

Anders Petterson has a CEMS in Management from the London School of Economics and Hochschule St.Gallen, Switzerland. He worked for JP Morgan Investment bank from 1995-1999 in London, New York and Frankfurt, where he was responsible for capital market products and coverage in the Nordic region.

Day 3: Focus on art investment funds and learn their history and potential future. Special guest lecture from the Managing Director and Head of Art Investments at Athena Art Finance, and Yieldstreet.
Day 4: Learn about art secured lending and get taught the difference between traditional vs. asset-based lenders. Visit Sotheby’s Auction House to hear from the Financial Services department and explore the market for the sale exhibitions currently on display.
Day 5: Discover how modern technologies such as AI and Blockchain can affect the market and speak with an artist currently working in the field. Visit a gallery specializing in digital and AI-driven artworks to see the future of art in action.
Course participants take away in-depth and valuable insight into the current and future art world. Those who successfully complete their course will receive a certificate of completion from Sotheby’s Institute of Art.

English Language Requirement
Course participants should be proficient in written and spoken English and be able to participate in group discussions and presentations in English. It is recommended that participants have the equivalent level of IELTS score of 6.0 /TOEFL score of 78 IBT, however evidence of test scores is not required to register.
Age Requirement
Courses are open to participants 18 years of age or older, however, we prefer that students have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience to be able to properly engage in the course.
