Sotheby’s Institute of Art announced as Education Partner for the second edition of The Treasure House Fair—a multidisciplinary event bringing together exhibitors and collectors from around the world.
Returning for a second year, The Treasure House Fair brings together the world's leading dealers to exhibit their finest art, antiques and design pieces at the height of London's summer season. Nestled within the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea, the Fair brings exhibitors together at the historic site for seven days. Each work on show is carefully vetted by a panel of independent experts to offer a carefully curated collection of exceptional artworks in an elegant and intimate setting.
Taking place from June 27 through July 2, the fair will bring together 70 leading galleries—up 30% from last year—and feature over 20 collecting categories in the fields of fine art, furniture, antiquities, and jewellery. A veritable Wunderkammer, this second edition will also showcase natural wonders, including the fossil of a 180-million-year-old pregnant Ichthyosaur, meteorites and some of the world’s largest and rarest gemstones, alongside classic cars and one of the most stylish boats ever made.
The Treasure House Fair founders, Thomas Woodham-Smith and Harry Van der Hoorn, were co-founders of the original Masterpiece fair in 2009. Now in 2024, after a successful first edition of this new venture, they again combine their enthusiasm and expertise to create, with the exhibitors, a new experience against the familiar backdrop of Christopher Wren’s astonishing site.
