Renowned art advisor and gallerist Dominique Lévy will address Sotheby’s Institute of Art-New York Class of 2017 Master’s degree students on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Sotheby’s auction house.

Dominique Lévy is the Co-Founder and Partner of Lévy Gorvy, internationally admired as an authority on the global art market and a connoisseur of modern, postwar, and contemporary art. Building on her early experiences at the foremost auction houses and galleries in Switzerland, France, and the UK, she established the Dominique Lévy Fine Art advisory in 2003 to focus on relationships with private clients at the pinnacle of the field.
In 2005, she co-founded L&M Arts, with locations in New York and Los Angeles. In 2013 Lévy inaugurated the Dominique Lévy Gallery in a historic landmark building on Manhattan's Upper East Side, expanding to London in 2014. Brett Gorvy, formerly worldwide Chairman and International Head of Post-War and Contemporary Art at Christie’s, joined Lévy as partner in 2017. Today, their Lévy Gorvy gallery is a global presence, with additional locations in Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Geneva. It represents an international roster of artists and estates, from Korean master Chung Sang-Hwa, French artist Martial Raysse, and such Americans as Terry Adkins, Senga Nengudi, and Dan Colen, to the estates of Carol Rama and Yves Klein, among others.
Dedicated to original scholarly research and award-winning publications, Lévy Gorvy is admired for curated exhibitions that advance art historical inquiry, including such acclaimed presentations as Local History: Castellani, Judd, Stella, Alexander Calder: Multum in Parvo, Body and Matter: The Art of Kazuo Shiraga and Satoru Hoshino, and Gego: Autobiography of a Line. Lévy Gorvy also specializes in private sales in the secondary market, with a focus on masterworks of 20th century and contemporary art.
