Sotheby’s Institute of Art continues its partnership with art-book publishers Lund Humphries by hosting a talk at Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair, centred around the Hot Topics in the Art World book series. The talk, titled 'Art World Futures', will explore the evolving landscape of the art world, engaging with current trends and future developments in the sector.
On November 22, Institute faculty Juliet Hacking will moderate an engaging discussion at Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair. The panel will explore the shifting structures and future trajectory of the art world, featuring insights from prominent industry experts. Key hot topics include new models for art institutions as they face unprecedented financial and existential challenges, the growing role of philanthropy in funding the arts, the rise of the private art museum and the blurring of the public and private art sectors, and the changing institutions of the art market.
The 9th edition of Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair will open 21-24 November 2024 at Woolwich Works in London’s historic Royal Arsenal. The largest international art fair dedicated to highly collectible contemporary print, WCPF continues to be the pioneer in the world of original print, pushing the boundaries of this diverse medium and situating it within the wider context of contemporary art.
