Yulhee Kim

Yulhee Kim launched Korea's first global brand art fair-affordable art fair Seoul, and served as a fair director, actively contributing to the popularization of art collections. She is an expert in the Asian art market and has organized various international artists’ exhibitions in Korea and China. For many years, she worked in major galleries in Korea and China, worked as the first Korean art consultant at Art Beijing, ran a gallery for financial institutions in Korea, and founded and served as director of Chang Art Beijing. In addition, she has cultivated art lovers, patrons in Korea by working in various fields of the art world, including the MMCA Membership Society’s Education Program and advising KAMS, a Korean government foundation for enhancing the art market. She has been a contributor to Heren (a high-end magazine for a major Korean newspaper), organized and interviewed collectors around the world, and wrote about contemporary art market for 8 years and has contributed articles to the art forum on the Korean art scene. In 2020, she introduced Sotheby's first Korean hybrid program, which laid the foundation for the international expansion of Sotheby Institute of Art’s premium online curriculum.

김율희 교수는 소더비 인스티튜트의 코리아 대표이며, 소더비 인스티튜트의 겸임교수입니다. 한국 최초의 글로벌 아트페어, 어포더블 아트페어를 런칭하고 한국 지사장을 역임하며 누구나 미술품을 소유할 수 있다는 예술의 대중화에 앞장서 왔습니다. 아시아 미술 시장 전문가로 활동한 김율희 대표는 한중 미술 시장에서 메이저 갤러리에서 활발한 활동을 하였으며 아트 베이징 최초의 한국인 컨설턴트, 금융 기관 갤러리를 운영하고 창 아트 베이징 디렉터를 역임했습니다. 그 외에도, 한국의 메이저 신문사 잡지인 헤렌에 8년간 컨트리뷰터로 현대미술 컬럼과 세계 컬렉터들을 인터뷰하였으며, 아트포럼에 한국미술계를 기고하기도 하였습니다. 또한 국립현대미술관을 후원하는 현대미술관회에서 미술애호가들을 키우는 교육프로그램도 담당하는 등 미술계의 다양한 분야에서 일했습니다. 2020년 소더비 인스티튜트의 첫 번째 한국어 하이브리드 과정이 시작되어 소더비의 프리미엄 온라인 교육과정의 국제 확장을 위한 기반을 마련했습니다.

She is the founder of DinaburgArts LLC, providing curatorial advice and consultation for artists, collectors, galleries, museums, institutions, and corporations, with a focus on business development and cultural branding. Her expertise also includes the acquisition and de-accession of Post-Impressionist and Modern masters as well as established and emerging international Contemporary artists.

Having recently returned to New York, Mary is now involved in a variety of projects both in the United States and abroad.
