Jennifer is an art historian, critic and public programmes curator. She holds an MA in Art History from the Courtauld Institute of Art and an AHRC-funded PhD from the University of Edinburgh.
She publishes regularly as an art critic, including in Art Monthly, ArtReview and ARTnews magazines, and was previously Managing Editor of contemporary magazine. A selection of her artist interviews was published in Art Monthly’s anthology Talking Art 2.
She curated the public programmes for the 2014 and 2017 editions of the Folkestone Triennial, and was a co-curator of the 2016 Whitstable Biennale. She was Director of Talks at the ICA, London (2003-2010). She has been lecturing on the MA Contemporary Art programme at Sotheby’s Institute of Art, London since 2007, and was the Course Leader for the Contemporary Art in London summer school at the Institute (2015-17). She has also taught at Chelsea College of Art, Goldsmith’s College of Art and University of the Creative Arts.
