Jerry Saltz was winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Criticism in 2018. In a career that has stretched over three decades, he has been senior art critic at New York Magazine since 2007. Prior to that he was senior critic at the Village Voice. He has been a contributor to magazines ranging from Frieze to Parkett and Art in America. Before winning the Pulitzer Prize he was twice a finalist, in 2001 and 2006. He was the recipient of the 2007 Frank Jewett Mather Award in Art Criticism from the College Art Association. He won a National Magazine Award for Columns & Commentary in 2015, and was a finalist for the same award in 2011.
