Leo Krakowsky

Head Librarian and Capstone Director, New York

Leo Krakowsky holds a master’s degree in library science with an advanced certificate in art and archives. He graduated from Pratt with honors and received his bachelor’s from Stanford University. Professor Krakowsky’s research interests include art history and art documentation, decorative art and craft, as well as archival memory work. He grew up north of the Bronx in Yonkers and has since worked in a variety of academic and art-world environments in the Metropolitan area, from museums and galleries to university libraries and even as the lead archivist for a living artist. Currently, Leo is the Sotheby's Institute of Art-New York Head Librarian and Capstone Director.
