Taught by Lindsay Dewar, Chief Operating Officer and Head of Analytics for the London-based art industry research firm ArtTactic, alongside guest speakers from the art world, the course will include industry-changing case studies and share expert predictions for the future of the international art market.
The course will be divided into three main sections, starting with a fundamental overview of the art market pre- and post-Covid pandemic, exploring how this past informs the future of the market. The course will further look at hyped artists and mega collectors and how the impact of those key players is shaping the future of selling and buying art. In the last part, the focus will be on brand new technology and an ever-increasing role of financial vehicles in the greater art world, explained through the use of industry-wide data sets. By focusing on these areas and looking at key trends, course participants will be given the tools to assess what areas will become those to watch for the future and how market performance can be forecast.
