Navigating Today's Art World: From Studios to Art Fairs defines the different institutions in both the commercial and nonprofit sectors of the global art infrastructure, and offers a deeper understanding of the methods and motivations that drive the business and viewership of art. This comprehensive review puts course participants on the right track to operate with increased expertise within the art world, and is ideal for those looking to better understand the art market structure as well as those looking to make a career change and explore they key roles and institutions that comprise the business of art.

This Premier Online Course features weekly recorded lectures and faculty-guided discussion boards to maximize flexibility and deliver an engaging and interactive digital experience.

    Stephanie Dieckvoss has over 15 years of experience of working in commercial art galleries and art fairs and a wealth of experience in cultural management in the public and private sector. She managed the Anish Kapoor Exhibition at the Serpentine Gallery and raised over £2 million for the expansion of the Serpentine Gallery by organizing their charity auction in partnership with Sotheby's. She was Fair Manager for Frieze Art Fair from its launch until 2006, Co-Director of Art HK: Hong Kong International Art Fair from 2007-2009 and Fair Director of Art 13-Art15 from 2012 – 2014. She now consults independently and writes for the German financial newspaper The Handelsblattas well as the Neue Züricher Zeitung as their London art market correspondent.
