Artists have long been fascinated with play, both as a form (and site) of unstructured creativity and as a rule-based model for social relations.

This masterclass, led by MA Contemporary Art faculty lecturer Dr Mike Cooter, looks at how play has preoccupied contemporary artists: from the documentation of play, the artist ‘playing’ in the studio, to the playable exhibition.
