Evie T. Joselow

Evie T. Joselow PhD, is an art historian, educator and fine art appraiser who has worked in both the for profit and nonprofit sectors, including affiliations with numerous academic programs and cultural institutions.

Highlights of her career include handling Fabergé eggs, and the successful restitution and recovery of Nazi looted art.  

 Dr. Joselow has a lengthy roster of teaching, public speaking, and publishing on a variety of topics related to 19th- and 21st century American and European art, architecture and design and the art market, as well as on the impact of AI on the arts.

Currently, Dr. Joselow is the Director of The Art of the Appraisal, an independent appraisal firm specializing in the valuation of 20th century fine art. She also serves on the Advisory Committee of the Center for Art Law.  

Dr. Joselow holds a Ph.D. in Art History from The Graduate Center, City University of New York, a Master of Public Administration from Baruch College, and a B.A. from Vassar College.
