Leigh Lawrence

Global Academic Director for Collegiate Programs

As Global Academic Director for Collegiate Programs, Leigh directs the overall academic development and delivery of undergraduate short-term study courses for Sotheby’s Institute of Art, among other schools, including:

Prior to joining Sotheby’s Institute of Art, Leigh held roles at the Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE), Nord Anglia Education, Yale Young Global Scholars, and American Councils for International Education. Leigh brings high-impact learning practices and data-driven innovation to course development and delivery. She embraces a global perspective in her research and work due to her extensive experience living and studying in the US, China, and the UK.

Leigh holds a PhD in Education from St John’s College, University of Cambridge, a MA from Yale University, and a BA from Arizona State University. She is a recipient of the Fulbright Scholarship and Boren Scholarship and was a Visiting Research Scholar at Nanjing Normal University. Leigh regularly teaches and publishes research around themes of international education policy, cross-cultural psychology, and high-impact pedagogical practices.
