Leo Krakowsky

Adjunct Faculty, MA in Contemporary Art, New York

Leo Krakowsky’s research includes art history and art documentation, decorative art, craft, and archival memory work. He grew up north of the Bronx, in Yonkers, and has worked in a variety of academic and art-world environments in the New York Metropolitan area, from museums and galleries to university libraries and even as the lead archivist for a living artist. Currently, Leo is SIA-NY’s Head Librarian and Capstone Director. 

He holds a master’s degree in library science with an advanced certificate in art and archives. He graduated from Pratt with honors and received his bachelor’s degree from Stanford University.
