Melanie Fasche

Dr Melanie Fasche is a Social Scientist. She is a Senior Lecturer and the Deputy Program Director of the MA in Art Business at Sotheby’s Institute of Art London. In the program Melanie leads the core unit Art Business: Finance and Management and the elective Art Patronage Today. Previously, Melanie held positions as Contractually Limited Assistant Professor in Economic Geography at the University of Bayreuth, Germany, and Postdoctoral Fellow at the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto, Canada. Her research focuses on the market of contemporary art with particular interest in value creation, strategy, innovation, and location, and relations between the art world and urban and regional development.
