NYU Summer Housing, Manhattan, NY

Vogue College of Fashion has secured a limited number of beds at NYU Summer Housing for residential students taking part in the Summer Programme in New York. Please note there is an additional accommodation fee, and availability is on a first-come, first-served basis. If you are a day student and wish to discuss the possibility of residential accommodation, please email us: admissions@sia.edu.

NYU Summer Housing is located in a vibrant area of Manhattan, New York, with close connections to public transportation and within walking distance of restaurants, cafes, and shops. Students live in multi-occupancy rooms with a bathroom, access to shared kitchen facilities, access to common areas and study spaces and laundry facilities.

Pre-Departure Orientation

Virtual pre-departure orientations will take place on 19th May.  During this session, you will meet members of the Vogue College of Fashion Programme Team, learn what to expect during the programme, and have the opportunity to ask any questions ahead of arrival.

Duration: approximately 60 minutes.

Admitted Students will receive a Zoom link from the Program team in advance of their pre-departure orientation date. If you are unable to attend live, a recording may be made available afterwards.

Session I – Luxury Business

Program Start Date: Monday, 29th June

Accommodation Move-In Date: Monday, 29th June. If you are in Sotheby’s Institute of Art-provided housing, you should arrive in New York by this date.  

Mandatory Orientation: Tuesday 30th June

Classes Start Day: Wednesday 1st July

Last Day of Course: Thursday, 23rd July

Program End Date: Friday, 24th July. If you are in Sotheby’s Institute of Art-provided housing, you will check out of housing on this day.  

Class Schedule

Classes will start no earlier than 10:00 AM and will end by 4:00PM, except for day trips and some co-curricular activities. You should anticipate being in class four times a week to complete these intensive courses.

There are no mandatory academic commitments during the evenings or on weekends.

Please note that the final assessment for Luxury Business courses must be submitted at the end of the program. Your faculty and program team will provide additional information about submission deadlines and requirements during your Sotheby’s Institute of Art academic orientation.

Each summer session has multiple courses running concurrently. This means that Orientation, the Arrival and End of Programme Celebrations, and certain co-curricular activities will include students from all courses. Additionally, students residing in accommodation arranged by Sotheby’s Institute of Art will share the same residence with other Summer Program students.

Canvas Access – Community Page

Your Canvas Community page will be available to you in April after you have completed the admissions process. The Canvas Community page is your one-stop shop resource for all your programme details from move-in day to the end of the programme. It includes Programme Team contact information, Housing details, Health and Safety Information, Travel information and What to bring. Upon access to the Canvas Community page, please familiarise yourself with the contents and be sure to contact the Programme Team with any questions.
